Services
St Andrew’s is a small church with a big welcome. Our congregation often includes a very friendly small dog amongst its members!
Sunday services are held at 9:30am and you are warmly invited. Our usual pattern of worship during our interregnum is:
1st Sunday of the month: Morning Prayer*
2nd Sunday of the month: NO SERVICE – invited to join St Mary’s or St Bartholomew’s
3rd Sunday of the month: Holy Communion
4th Sunday of the month: Songs of Praise
5th Sunday of the month: Joint benefice service with the other three churches**
* Services of Morning Prayer and Songs of Praise are led by members of the congregation – and unofficially known as DIY services. We all chip in and do our bit and anyone who wishes is welcome to get involved.
** Joint benefice services are hosted by one of our three churches on a rota basis. The start time depends on the location. Check out the latest notices for details.
After the services, we like to share in refreshments and conversation. The selection of biscuits is always impressive.
Courses and events
Most of the things we do outside of Sunday services are part of the wider benefice structure. In recent years, our members have helped to run the Alpha Course for people exploring the Christian faith, whilst a number of us have participated in courses for those who wish to go deeper and journey onward.
